Twincam16seca Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 Can some one measure the length of the push rod between the slave and the clutch fork on an AE71? I bought a new one as I didn't have one with the manual conversion I bought. Thanks Quote
Twincam16seca Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 No one can help me??? I have got an ae82 one but don't know if it's the correct length? Quote
rian Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 I bought an AE71 slave cylinder recently, it didn't come with the push rod thing either. But I had a spare one from my old AE71 slave cylinder, I would measure it for you but it's back in Byron Bay and I'm in Brisbane at the moment, though I recall it being around 2.5-3inches. I'm not sure if that helps. If the AE82 slave push rod is slightly different couldn't you just adjust the push rod for the master cylinder under the dash to make up the difference? Quote
Twincam16seca Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks! If you could still measure it when you get back there at some stage i would be thankful it doesn't matter when, but this gives me some idea. I just measured the ae82 one I have and thats just over 2.5inches so it may work. Quote
rian Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 I won't be back home in Byron Bay for at least a few weeks, but I'll see if I can get someone back home to measure it for you. 2.5inches should work assuming you can just adjust out the difference with the push rod on the master cylinder, that is if the AE82 push rod is actually a different length to the AE71 push rod.
