74coupe Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 Hey guys brought discs from burdens told them all details I had. But the discs we got the off set is too deep and doesn't sit and rubs.. Heading back tomorrow.. Is this going to be a headache for me? And springs to lower front. Who's best to see passers don't have any in Australia. And just using blocks in the rear. Cheers Quote
Tally Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 Most likely you have bought Ke20 discs for Akebono calipers - KE25s have sumitomo calipers and you can't get discs for them anymore but early KE30 discs apparently fit and still available but not 100% sure blocks in the rear is just going to ruin the car, be horrible to drive Quote
74coupe Posted May 7, 2012 Author Report Posted May 7, 2012 Spot on mate, took them back and the closest is ke 30 discs.. Only problem is the diameter, everything else is sweet but that. The ke25 diameter is 205mm and the ke30 is 218mm so think it will rub .. Or can I get a backing plate off a ke30 for mine and bolt the caliber to that on my one will that work and are they the same? 74coupe Posted May 7, 2012 Author Report Posted May 7, 2012 Cool man I'll chuck the old one on this week to see clearances of it Cheers Quote
aspheric Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 So did the ke30 discs fit under the sumitomo ke25 calipers? Quote
74coupe Posted June 3, 2012 Author Report Posted June 3, 2012 hey mate no they didnt, i got them machined down from 218mm down to 205mm i think it was, literally just fitted it all up today, and got it all going,, bit of a pain and expensive so far but... finally almost going now... hopefully it keeps the mechanic happy and the roady is passed..
