ke20 king Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Guys I don't know if this is covered but I couldn't find anything...., I have a ke20 put a 5k in it with twin 40s... Now I'm stuck with the clearance for the airfilters... Please guys tell me what you've done and what to do. Thanks! Quote
Redwarf Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I had some custom Uni-filter sandwich ones made up. From memory they were about 40mm thick. Some minor "movement" of the strut tower also occured. You can from memory fit a KE30 engine mount to the left side to turn the engine a bit to give more space. Quote
philbey Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I have these, have a look in my KE16 wagon thread below, you can see how they fit. http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/d136.html I had them made to 36mm high, and the foam does touch the strut tower, but it doesn't hit the cage. I'm pretty happy with them, I should really give them a clean though. Quote
styler Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Yeah it's a pain... Also theres only room for either trumpets or air filters but now there are trumpet mesh filters or super low profile bolt on trumpet lips to help with clearance. Quote
styler Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Ah yes also have seen pod box filters like philbeys Unifilter as well, think ITG and Pipercross do them too. Quote
philbey Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I looked at the ITG and Pipercross units, much more expensive and I don't think the pipercross was going to fit in the KE10 engine bay, it may in a Ke20 Very cool looking unit though Quote
