Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) kethurty! ok so i bought this ke 30 87' auto and have since tried to sell it . but due to the state it was in it wasnt a very easy car to get rid of for the money i was thinking. the 5k i put in was old and busted so it wasnt a very good sales pitch. but the plans have change and in the last three weakends i have got a little stuck in.... things i replaced or done: ex automatic 4k , 125000 kms sump gasket thermostat, new radiator hosses, hose clamps, gasket, radiator cap, heater hose. waterpump gasket, waterpump rockercover gasket,rocker cover washers and rubbers, fuel pump gasket new oilfilter and gasket, airfilter new gear box oil new oil, new battery, new sparkplugs, spark plug housing gaskets , leads new exhaust inlet manifold gasket. new exhaust gasket new spiggot bearing new clutch , thrust bearing 15x 6 wantanabes had bought a litte earlier. aftermarket mirrors new (diff oil) new boss kit, boss steering wheel tight ke70 5sp gearbox. reset valves new accelerator cable 34 adm weber carbie tinted lights Edited April 20, 2012 by rawKe20! Seriously, lowered springs in the front, lowering blocks in the rear. If you want to do it properly get the rear springs reset. Quote

Posted April 19, 2012 Author Report Posted April 19, 2012 alrighty time for an update . engine is up to standards time to start on the body. this arvo i got stuck in because there was still light. removed the lights and and gave them a fine coat of tint. Then got stuck into sanding down the rear end. surprisingly clean . and thought to ad a few pics of interior.. till next time Quote

Posted May 6, 2012 Author Report Posted May 6, 2012 tried to get the adaptor for the weber but the idiots at auto pro ordered the wrong one. but i took the brakes apart and gave them a quality clean and brush down then painted the drums and calipers red for just a touch of colour for the car. hoping to spray two weeks from now and then its on the road. Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Posted May 20, 2012 parents have just sold the house so i have to put the cart back together before it can be registered and driven. so got the missus involved taping up the windows and i just gave it a can primer coat . the finish job will have to wait till i get my new house. but atleast ill be on the road in for the first time since the engine swap. just thought id ad this lady swerved for something in the dark and ended up in my paddock Quote

Posted May 27, 2012 Author Report Posted May 27, 2012 spent a fair while working on the car today just getting it primer grey and straight. then put it all back together and chucked 3 months rego on. ....... IT IS ALIVE ! went for a flog around the back streets . i havent actually driven the car since october last year and it went really well. temp stayed even, could do with a professional tune one i get an airfilter. and the 34 weber actually performed. really well( to my surprise after reading about them) all in all good day. tried to get some pics but it was getting dark Quote
