irokin, all other threads seemed to work ok today except the WGMG

Note sure if it's a bug or not

But i've been noticing when i receive an email for a "topic reply notification" all i'm getting is "New reply to....." for the email heading

Before the change i was getting "<members name> replied to...." for the email heading

i dunno if its a bug, or if there is some method to it...

 

but whats that little icon under some peoples names when they post, its under ironkin's name and a few othres, including this new guy

It's a way of licencing your content so that others are clear on how they can use it outside of the scope of Rollaclub.

 

So say hypothetically say someone wanted to copy my posts to some other website. They could do that provided they attributed the posts to me and shared them under a similar creative commons licence.

It tends to count guests multiple times so its a bit more inflated than reality.

Ok, finally figured out what the problem was with the new tagging system and the FS areas. That's sorted now so the new system should start to take effect. I'm going to add tags to a couple of pages in the general area to help things along.

Just noticed when i was writing up a post that had a youtube link in it and if i previewed my post the video would show up but the url link would get deleted.

If its just the youtube URL as the link it will embed it. If it's a link with text it will leave it alone.

 

e.g.

 

A youtube link as itself:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlUmYrP8dDw

 

vs

 

A youtube link as text

Than i click on the "preview post" button.

And the video would show in the preview but the url link in this section would disappear.

 

Must have been having a brain fart or something cause its working now - was going to take a screenshot of it.

interesting thing was that post from towe with the bagpipes in the email notification had no link to this thread, but your one did ben..

 

and to further my sooking about not going to newest unread post in threads, does happen in both wgmg and the trd brothers rally car thread.

Still not sure on this. I don't really subscribe to anything so I don't get the notices. Guess I'll have to subscribe and see for myself.

After 30 days posts are marked as read automatically. So you might be running into that limit, otherwise it should self correct within 30 days.
