Rollajones Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Anyone help me out on what needs to be done to get my fenders off? Quote
SLW42 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 10mm and 12mm spanner and a socket set 1/4drive works the best, should be off memory 5 or 6 10mm bolts along the top of the guard under the bonnet, another one just in behind the front door at the top corner of the guard, and then there will be one or two at the bottom of the guard in the sil, then there will be 4 bolts in behind the bumper at the front of the guard to remove them you need to remove the bumper(if its standard bumper), look at the guard and you will see said 4 bolts to remove Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 You'll need to remove the inner wheel arch lining too. Also unscrew the aerial on the drivers guard. Quote
oldie Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 also need to unscrew the metal rod that braces the front of your guard(just in front of the front wheel) of the body if it is still there. Quote
BDAN2512 Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 trying to do this myself, there is one bolt along the top of the guard that is sitting underneath the strip that runs along above the bonnet (with the vents and where the wipers come through, whats it's called??) How do you remove that strip to get to that bolt? thanks in advance! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 You'll need to take your bonnet, window wipers off and remove that piece by unscrewing some bolts/screws along the top of the fire wall. Then pull it towards the front of the car and it will slide out. Quote
BDAN2512 Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 really? thats a real pain in the @$$ just to remove one bolt! thanks for the help though Quote
