Spotted one on the way home from the show and shine on sunday, he was heading north i was heading south. saw each other and stared as we went past each other. Also spotted a KE10? 11? on Manchester street, down from Villi's. Looked in pretty Av's condiditon. got potential Quote
Queen20v Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Slightly off topic but I keep seeing two TA22 Celica's chasing each other around the Edwardstown area. One is a steely blue colour and the other is real dark perhaps black. They are both quick, but the black one is super freakin quick. It's turb'd and sounds great. The blue one sounds unreal. Almost sounds like its got a boxer motor on board. Non turbo I think though. I've seen them a few times now in the last two weeks. It's cool seeing one fast old school Yota, but seeing these two TA22's following each other is a sight. If anyone knows these cars I'd love to know what they are running. Just to make this post more legit for the thread I also saw a wicked beige KE70 wagon yesterday around Parkholme that was low with hubcaps and whitewalls. Didn't get a good look at it, but looked pretty neat from a distance. Does this look like the dark one? Quote
Chobis Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Does this look like the dark one? Nah pretty sure that isn't it. Doesn't look to be that nicely finished off and those wheels and pinstriping don't ring a bell. Mind you everytime I see these cars they are flying. Quote
joshyouwah Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 spotted a bamboo ke25 with white walls on goodwood road just then, heading towards town Quote

DearmanKE Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) that sucks man, i blew my ke30 tailshaft in salisbury in front of a mates one time ages back,(i live 30 mins away) lucky for me he had a spare one...or so we thought, the one he had was for a ke55 and had a different flange for the diff, so we knocked out the unijoints and attatched the ke30 tailshafts flange, the unijoint was smaller so it was hell loose, so we welded the caps on to keep the joint in place drove home at like 25k's an hour with many many noises, but it worked lol. ps, how did yours fall out? did one of the unijoints break? were you going fast? if the front unijoint broke like on mine and you were going fast that could end seriously badly, could dig into the ground and basically push the diff out of the back of your car, or flip the car depending, so glad i was only doing like 5k's an hour when mine broke Edited November 21, 2008 by DearmanKE Quote

My car always had a shaking problem going between 60-70 and today I found out the reason.. Haha. The four bolts that connected the tail shaft to the diff either snapped or got so loose from the shaking that they just fell out. Tailshaft is out of whack or something, hence the shaking. Was going pretty quick, 90-100.. Woo for free raa towing Quote
