Here are some electric cars that you guys might find interesting.

there are some fast electric cars out there.

 

pity it costs so much for an electric converion. then you need to replace the batteries every 3 years or so. :)

but it does give some hope if petrol motors are banned/run out of fuel

an electric car is not necessarily cleaner on the environment, even though the car itself generates no emmisions. you have to burn more coal at the electric powerplant to generate the extra power to charge the cells. also you have to dispose of the batteries every few years.

 

maybe everyone should drive smaller vehicles. it is amazing looking at cars commuting, ie you have one person in say a new falcon which weighs 1700kg.

 

now if everyone was to ride say pocket bikes....lol.

if they became the new 'cars' then what would the make smaller to go between the cars at sets of lights and annoy cars?? :S

The only way is a magnetic engine, I was toying with the idea and evening making some prototypes in my garage, however its already been done for cars.. check this out:

nah, just a lot less mass for the commuter to haul around. nothing feasable, although you could park a hell of a lot more of them in the city. :S

 

 

that magnetic engine looks cool. i'll have one. :) can definitely see a future for them.

 

the air powered car is interesting, still needs to be fed power to run the compressor. :D

electricity relies on fossil fuel too

lets face it, in 30 years time, there will be no more driving around in old corollas, emitions will be so tight, and fuels so little, that cars over like 5 yrs old wont be aloud to be road regestered, along with a very strict, regular emitions testing.

 

Make way for even more trashy car looks...

no.....no.....NO, don't talk like that teddy. theres still hope somehow. i like driving a thirsty noisey car too man, but if they start barking up that tree then its even more insentive to update to a late model engine. SR20 hmmm :rocknroll: its not all bad..........just :P

Yeah it does, however oil IS fossil fuel. Electricity can be made in other ways too. If there is going to be any form of power that will sustain the human race when there is no more fossil fuel, it will be somehow harnessing electricity, whether it be by nuclear power or microwave or whatever. There is no other alternative way to power a vehicle that is pheasable. Gas is bullshit I reckon.

Thats like saying 8 second drag cars that run on combustion engines are useless on the road
