Jackson Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 G'day fellas Ok I have a 4k in my Suzuki Sierra and now that it is going regularly I have started looking at doing odd jobs. So anyway the air intake at the moment is a custom job using the lite ace van carb hat and runs over to the sierra air filter but it definitely isn't air tight and it has a few sharp turns and that. I got my hands on a 3k airbox but it is to tall (fouls on the bonnet) the stud isn't long enough either. So anyway is the 4k airbox different? Or what other air filters have people put on the stock carb? Thanks Jackson Quote
jaygood Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 use the van intake to a pod filter if you don't have a snorkel Quote
altezzaclub Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Go side-draught... Single DCOE or SU. Rob has the same problem putting the 3Y into his Dyna. The design over the top of the carb is terrible. Quote
JDMJared Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 My mate has a 4k sierra which his wife drives, air filter is poking out of the bonnet. Must be a common problem Quote
