KE ping it real Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) Haha good O. Loads of people slap on a carb and wonder why it doesnt run correctly. I was of the same mind, fiddled and tweaked, balanced my carbs as best I could but they are the emissions Dellorto's that don't have all the vacuum ports so I just chucked it to the dyno tuner. locked 20 degrees though, that mus really come on cam strong. I never recurved mine and it could benefit from it. Plan is to fit an MSD with adjustable curve control. Yeah i didnt get twins for the simple reason that i don't think i have the brain capacity to keep them in balance and tune myself. I like the weber because of the simplicity of them as well Its definitely all about the trial and error though I have to hand it to David at ReCarb, the after care Tech support is second to none, he helped me diagnose the issue and then talked me step by step through each of the tuning proceedures and was happy to spend 2 half hour sessions over the phone getting to the issue HIGHLY RECCOMENDED SUPPLIER OF THESE CARBS!!!!!! Now i just have to wait until tomorrow for my chokes & jets to arrive(i have a couple of each coming) and i can continue tuning/ jetting I have to admit that in the past, i have been guilty of the same "slap on a carb" mentality, but not this time I've got a set of 125 & 130 main jets coming so i'll take the 150's out, take them back to 125's (came fitted with 120's) and put the 30mm chokes in and start again from there. You definitely need patience for this but i think it is very rewarding when you are done Edited February 14, 2012 by KE ping it real Quote

altezzaclub Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 After fitting the oxy sensors and fuel mixture display to mine I'd do the same every time. You can drive around in different conditions and see it going rich or lean in real-time terms. For what you're spending on jets and chokes it might be worthwhile. An oxy sensor from a wrecker & a Jarcar or whichever display. Quote
