driftter Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 HEY guys itryed to put a 4k in my ae71 yesterday i got told that if i used the 4k engine mounts it will fit but it don't and my old engine mounts off a 4age can't bolt up to the motor so any one know how to help?

styler Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 The secret is more power to weight, ditch the 4k for weight and cut a hole in the floor for more power! But yeah ke70 crossmember is the solution.

(Ae71 your car, Ke70 the one with a 4k) Basically you want the reverse of an AE71 conversion. The 4k wont fit ae71 crossmember, So Ke70 crossmember and engine mounts. The 4k won't fit your gearbox, So ke70 4 or 5 speed box on a ke70 gearbox crossmember. Ae71 is different. ke70 Tailshaft, Ae71 is different. Ke70 pedalbox, (brake and clutch) and clutch cable (ae71 is hydraulic clutch) Edited February 10, 2012 by Jono.C
