GJM85 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Don't they have the gear ratio's of a John Deer? Quote

towe001 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 If you have a search through the ride threads one of the guys is running a 7k in his '55 (7k Corolla or something). I'm pretty sure i remember him writing that he would have liked to use the 7k's gearbox but the mount for the g'box was at the top of the box and not on the bottom like normal. So he had to use a K-series box till he was able to find a W-K bellhousing. That way he was able to use a w50 g'box or one of the other W boxes. Keeping it all simple, just use a k50 g'box from a '55. You could use one from a ke70 but the shifter sits further back and possible be too close to the handbrake. 1 Quote

KE70 box fits fine its only close to the handbrake when in second gear but isnt an issue unless your a driftstar or rally driver Quote
ollii Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Arnt we all driftstar rally drivers secretly? Quote
jaygood Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Fun around town being lower ratios :) Quote
