hey guys..

just need to know if a KE70 engine will go in to a AE71 with no worries???

Why would you want to replace a 1.6 4ac with a 1.3 4k? Engine mounts are your first issue, gearbox bolt pattern and crossmember etc etc.Spending this money on parts etc if you don't have them also makes little sense. Do we need too know more information as to why you would want to do this??

Essentially, You'd need to do the opposite of a 4age conversion, so, ke70 pedalbox, ke70 crossmember and engine mounts, ke70 gearbox mount, Ke70 tailshaft, maybe even radiator, can't remember, all for less power and a less valuable car after all the work and cost of doing it.

I'm assuming your corolla either has no engine or it's blown. In which case a 4ac is as easy to find as an excel with a cannon. Shouldn't be more than $100.

Well, if you're keen grab the KE70. All the parts are there, just swap everything over, then sell the straight panels off to get your $200 back.

Sell the AE71 gear for a profit to anyone wanting to do a 4AGE swap. All the Ke70 owners need the pedal box/hydraulic clutch/crossmember etc to fit a 4A in.
