KE70+AE92 Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 Hey I'm in the process of doin the exhaust on my v6 project, I'm running twin individual 2 1/4 system and i just got to up to fabricatin the section that passes the diff, i would like to run it over the diff, but space is limited so I'm tossing up whether to run it under the diff, Wats everyones opinion, does anyone run the exhaust under the diff, wouls the diff hit the exhaust over big bumps or the exhaust hit the ground over bumps Thanks Quote
BlueKsev Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 You need decently short stroke rear shocks to pull it off without the exhaust hitting diff, and theres no problem with the ground as long as you don't drop the exhaust down any lower then it is up front. Quote
ke70dave Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 over diff fits at legal height. and good springs and shocks. Quote
Chillin Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 Do the hard yards now and go over diff, I think you will thank yourself later. Even if the car is going to be under legal height that system should be able to fit between the diff and body, it will just be a tight fit Quote
coln72 Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 Ran the exhaust under the diff on my KE20 club car. Didnt have any issues with the exhaust hitting the diff or the ground. May have had a couple of scrape marks on the exhaust but nothing major. This was with lowered rear springs. Quote
KEI069 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 My daily driver HD holden runs a twin system under the diff and i havent had a problem, the car sits about 105mm off the ground. i reckon do what fits Quote
KE70+AE92 Posted January 28, 2012 Author Report Posted January 28, 2012 I'm leanin towards goin under the diff just for the ease factor when fabricating but, i wanna keep the stock factor and hide as much as i can, later I'm gonna get under the car and sus out how hard it will be to run it over Quote
ke704agte Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 I'm leanin towards goin under the diff just for the ease factor when fabricating but, i wanna keep the stock factor and hide as much as i can, later I'm gonna get under the car and sus out how hard it will be to run it over hey, how did you go with under the diff system? My exhaust hits on my ke70 which is lowered. Quote
KE70+AE92 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 hey bud, it went well, looks really good, the only problem i have is u can only jack the rear up from the diff as if u jack from thw body the diff hits the exhaust Quote
Millaz88 Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 hey bud, it went well, looks really good, the only problem i have is u can only jack the rear up from the diff as if u jack from thw body the diff hits the exhaust I done the same thing under the diff exhaust worked out really well I have commo wagon sports/short stroke shocks under mine and have no problems with hitting anymore Quote
ke704agte Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Do any of you guys have photos of the under diff exhaust system? Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Track=Under Street=Over Simple as that. (In my opinion) Quote
rian Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Do any of you guys have photos of the under diff exhaust system? This is the only photo I have of mine, I'm not particularly fond of under the diff exhausts. I haven't measured it but I'm pretty sure the exhaust is illegally low, I'd rather have an over the diff exhaust and have the car being legal. Edited May 19, 2012 by rian Quote
