rjenman Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I have no idea, however I agree that 4AC = AE71, more or less Quote
gtnickk Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Correct me if I'm wrong but this is not a common install. Why because to fit it you have to hack your dash and all the surrounds. The electrics are different to. Trueno were japanese cars and only a few were imported at the same time during the 80's. Ae71 were made in Australia. At that stage Japanese Technology was more advanced than us. Thus i would most say the wiring would be all different and to fit this is going to be one hell of a task. Before you get to involved and start hacking i would compare wiring diagrams of the engine, dash, and any thing else you think might help you between ae71-Trueno. I think Teddy fitted a T18 gauge to one of his 70's if his got pics he should show you the amount of work that will be needed to fit this, as just an example. The trueno gauge will probally require more fuses also. If you can't or don't wont to fit this your self than pay someone. This is probally not going to be worth it as to pay some won you are going to need an auto electriction and the and interior specialists then there is an there hourly rate on top of that. If you do get it fitted it will be very unique and i hope you like it. :) Quote
Jason Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) Correction I fitted a T18 dash to my ae71 with teddy's help: P only reason it works is because it essentially the same except the plugs are different to you have to play around until all the shit works, but it's worth it it's so much cooler than ke70 dashes. Well i needed to make custom brakets and hack away the dash cover, behind dash and now i need to make a cover to get rif of the extra space it trakes up and it dosnt. But i can tell you its worth it, thats a old foto i should really take a new with all the white faces in Edited January 6, 2006 by Jason Quote
gtnickk Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I had a feelin it was one of you two, oh well thats up to you weather you like the T18, better but it is different and i comend you on that. I think it is mad that people like you Jason mod and try new stuff. :) Quote
