TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Sorry about last post, I was running out the door to get to Gold Coast (work)from Brisbane, took me 40mins and I just got there at 9am, phewww... Anyhow, as I was saying its a 2004 Holden Astra SXI, 1.8ltr 4cyl n/a 5sp manual. Goes alright for what it is (daily car), the Rolla II is my racing machine, however thats out of action as I'm redoing the wiring, suspension and turbo. Here are some pics of the two: Quote
love ke70 Posted January 12, 2006 Author Report Posted January 12, 2006 thats cool, i wasnt offended or anythin, just confused that you said you drive an astra and ur on rollaclub lol it makes plenty more sense now :) both nice cars, but the rolla wins by a mile  so will the rolla II be making an appearance at this meet ? hope to see it there and lots of other people and cars :harhar: Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 I wish, sadly no. Unless I win lotto :harhar: Quote
love ke70 Posted January 12, 2006 Author Report Posted January 12, 2006 awww  lol its all good, give the astra a run, see what she can do :harhar: but there is 6 months, u might just win the lotto yet hehe Quote
Biggo Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 How bout we toss this topic around at the camping meet! It would be good to debat the ups and downs off all the places where we can (legally) drive fast. Does anyone know if there are any tracks/courses in northern NSW? We could do an overnighter down there lol, and maybe lose some points! (Stupid p plate laws) Quote
Biggo Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 http://www.lakesideraceway.com/email.htm Everyone do us a favor and piss of the policitians. I hope they see the need the stupid f@$ks, but anyway...... Go forth and show them the light! Quote
love ke70 Posted January 15, 2006 Author Report Posted January 15, 2006 i was gonna do that, but i think its fairly pointless now as the council is now taking expressions of interest from businesses wanting to operate out of lakeside, feel free if you want tho, wont hurt Quote
ae71neo Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Theres a track in stanthorpe isnt there? Quote
irokin Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 http://www.lakesideraceway.com/email.htm Everyone do us a favor and piss of the policitians. I hope they see the need the stupid f@$ks, but anyway...... Go forth and show them the light! And considering QLD raceway is solidly booked at least 12 months in advance, you'd think theyd get the message. WE NEED MORE TRACKS! anyway. How about we all enter into a saturday afternoon sprints at QLD raceway as a group. Maximum entries for Saturday Afternoon Events is 100 and 60 for WednesdayGroup allocation is at the discretion of the QR but we do attempt to meet your requests and keep .birds of a feather. together. Groups can contain up to 16 cars and Entering a round:Entry fee is $75 for entries received by Thursday night before the Saturday Afternoon event (click here for an entry form) or $95 on the day IF space is available . you should check before driving out to the circuit. ... NO entries will be accepted after 11:30 on the day of the event. Access Pit Lane carports through the scrutineering bay from 10:00 am onwards. Apparel: Certified crash helmets must be worn. We have them for rent if you need one. Clothing is just common sense; you need to wear non-combustible clothing that covers you from neck to wrist to ankles, socks too . cotton is best. Shoes should be lace ups and have thin soles . leather is best. Gloves are recommended but not essential. Balaclavas are cheap and help your helmet last longer. Driver.s Briefings: There are two driver.s briefings one at noon for the experienced drivers lasting approx ten minutes and one at about 12:15 for the novices lasting about 40 minutes. I'm going out soon regardless (I promised my father a thrash in the celica, which ended up turning into the silvia) Quote
Biggo Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1746 Click click click I am suggesting we have one of these set up. We could do a trial mid year and see how we go then arrange for a similar comp to be run later on. Its cheap too! Quote
