Gavclassic Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 That daily RT40 looks great, just missing a rear blind in mat black. Very well done, just enough to turn heads. These RT40 are a very underated daily, much more comfortable than a Corolla of the same year. Quote
kayten Posted January 16, 2012 Author Report Posted January 16, 2012 Cheers, Yes the venetian blind is coming, but that after the project RT40 is running and popping tires Quote

kayten Posted January 23, 2012 Author Report Posted January 23, 2012 OK so update time. over the weekend I have mounted the fully built engine and got it running so its getting closer to drive time. Was a super tight fit only about 5mm between air cleaner and brake master cylinder. Must of done the measurements right... yussss. Also sanded and painted the front grill and polished the chrome and added a few custom skull badge. Just trying to find a set of extractors then drive shaft and alloy radiator and its rolling. Also see link below for first start up of the engine. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2693/file23078.mp4 Quote
Rob 5000 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 couple of cool cars you have there. Quote
kayten Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 Another up date. I scored a set of extractors but due to the tight fit with the engine the extractors did not fit, so i found a standard exhaust manifold and it fits!! Hopefully have enough room to make up a decent set of dump pipes to come off the back. Also removed the right hand head light and fitted some mesh for better air flow to the carbs. Found a second horn and fitted as per standard from the factory. Also started mounting fuel pump and coil and wiring up ect. Quote
kayten Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 Another quick update for my daily RT40 Just had a second whitewall stripe put on and I think it looks so much better. also added some RAT stickers to the rear 1/4 windows starting to look awesome 1 Quote
