Rolla__Boy Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I bought mine with my system, maybe that is why it was cheap, and it wasn't exactly fitted seperately as it was put on as part of the system, if you get what I am trying to say Quote

Rolla__Boy Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I'm not a fan, but who cares...it's not my car. I like you're car though...alot Milo tins rock :) Quote
turbo_rolla Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 Ah, might look around to see what the pricing on the tips from other places are. Both places i rang quoted roughly that amount though, so we'll see. If it costs $250 at the end of the day i'll be happy with that. Extractors were about $380 from memory, so i'll shop around and see what i can get them for! :) Quote
kangaroosa Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 My droopy was basically free. I had a new muffler fitted on the rear. The bloke just cut a bit of 3" pipe, put a bend in it and welded it onto the muffler. I personally like black tips like jamies and myself. Chrome can still look good though. Quote
Tiger Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Just looks tough when it's black... and not chrome.. no bling, more business! :) Quote

Trendact Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 (edited) Yep $380 for extractors is to much $$$, I have never paid more then $280 fitted. But then I have never paid any more then $230 for a sports system fitted with crome tip and that was a 2.5" system with 3" tip. Edited December 29, 2005 by Trendact Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 my entire exhaust was free, and i've never paid for a set of extractors ^_^ my old mate has an rx7 which i've helped work on. somehow or other it wound up with a chrome tip. i turned up with a can of gloss black engine enamel one day and started spraying the exhaust and he was like "oh thank god!" Redwarf Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 You should be able to get of the rack extractors for less than that. Do a search for "extractors", I know it's been discussed, and I think there were a couple of prices thrown about. Quote
turbo_rolla Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 Yeah, $380 seemed pretty dear for extractors so that's why i wasnt going to pursue it further for a while, but $280 is much more reasonable. I'll do a search on them after :( I reckon black tip would look a bit better too, and it'd probably keep the cost down if its not a "chrome" tip i guess. Definately not paying $70-$80 for a small piece of bent steel though, so i'll keep looking! :) Quote
