Ella Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 If you want i can do a install on it and hide the stereo somewhere out of sight (thinking in the glovebox) Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 4, 2012 Author Report Posted January 4, 2012 yeah only problem is i will use the glovebox......some pondering masy have to be done on this topic.... :hmm: Quote
Chillin Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 You could run it off an amp, no head unit. The only thing visible would be the aux cable. your only downside is if your ipod does not get you don't either  mount it under a seat and hide the main wires. pm me if you want an explanation / pics  on the car, I love it! nice score Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 5, 2012 Author Report Posted January 5, 2012 I do have an aux cable that runs to rca's.......could be an option. The stereo isn't a necessity atm since its not on the road so can gather a few ideas as we go along. Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 5, 2012 Author Report Posted January 5, 2012 new pics up guys put my work wheels on 4 sho :) Quote
EX55IV Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 My Parents bought one of these wagons brand new, a couple of months before I was born! and I was driven home from the hospital in it - in a cane basket on the backseat next to Mum!! how times have changed... Â They bought it from Bill Buckle Toyota at Brookvale, it was white and also manual, a CS model. Â Dad had a 'Pierce Simpson' brand tape deck fitted to it before he picked it up. My earliest childhood memories are attached to that corona - family holidays listening to ABBA, Boney M, Chicago and John Farnham on cassette lol. Then there was those early mornings dropping the car off for a service at Phil Gilbert Toyota with Mum (Sis and I still half asleep in our jammies!)Dad would pick us all up in their second car - a 1974 VW Beetle 1600 Superbug. Â Anyways, thanks for sharing your Corona, why not try a decent buff on the paintwork first? I think it may do wonders and save a heap on a respray for now. Have fun with it! Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Posted January 6, 2012 It could definitely do with a wash I know that for sure! A buff and polish those lovely chrome bumpers is a definite too! Drove it out of the carport on my lunchbreak and did a bit of a clean up.....just getting rubbish out of the car. I don't think it would take much at all to get the old girl registered :) Quote
Teddy Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Man thats awesome =D Â You should give the ol girl a deep cut n polish. Might come up a treat ! Â Ahh Days of the asthmatic 18RC. Reliable old tractor engine ftw =D Â T" Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 7, 2012 Author Report Posted January 7, 2012 well teddy i have never had an 18r before but from what i have seen so far with the motor it sounds like it should be in an old massey ferguson of some sort :) may have a 2rz lined up :):):) if ella is keen? Quote
Bamboo Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 This is how i mounted my cd player in my liftback. Obviously i make use of the remote. Â Was able to squeeze 2 x 4" speakers side by side in the original dash speaker spot. madKE35coupe Posted January 7, 2012 Author Report Posted January 7, 2012 Thats a nifty idea bamboo, might look into that. I was thinking of putting some bigger speakers in the back too but if they don't fit under the trims in the sides I will be putting the same size in. Quote
Ella Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 of course ellas keen, lets make it happen! Quote
