Spencer[RL] Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Theres heaps of after market parts for a Nissan R35!! Quote
BlueKsev Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Well you can narrow it down to Ke corolla's at least Spencer! But he has a point haha. If your talking Ke70, check out this, there's a fair bit available if your willing to pay some curiously expensive prices for them - http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw=ke70+ultra&_sacat=0&_odkw=ke70+brace&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Depends where you think the body flexes. Have you ever seen a KE70 crack? Triumph 2000s used to crack around the "C" pillar, the Mazda RX2s used to crack in front of the A pillar, but they were being rallied and that is really hard on a body shell. The struts across the suspension towers would be good, the front moreso than the rear, but underneath the car is better setup than the modern FWDs that have suspension arms hanging out in mid-air. Door bars and extra bars from the shell to the front would be nice in an accident, these cars are terribly weak compared to new ones. Mitch will have some good ideas, he works on V8Supercars. Let us know what you find out. Quote

Planning on having an army of Indian monkeys swinging from the bars or something ?!? Depends on the vehicle in question front strut brace and a mod-plated six point cage most of the other stuff would be a baboons play toy. But it depends on the vehicle. Quote

Chillin Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Give this a good read: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/23475 If you do end up purchasing anything take into account what they mention about the construction of the brace (pivots, bends ect.) PS. It's generally about 86's but the same principles can be transferred to kexx Hayden Edited January 3, 2012 by Chillin Quote
19914afc Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Why not get a full cage instead? with the amount you would spend on them. Quote
