altezzaclub Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 and ive always used duration @ 50 thou not advertised duration It does tell you how fast it is opening, and it varies from grind to grind. Its a black art 5ksev, and it depends on the guy who is actually doing the grinding quite a lot. Quote
TRD ke70 Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 What a shit cam grinder, to lazy to fill in all the info. Is the lift measured at 50(most common) or at 40(1mm), which i've seen recently!! Quote
snot35 Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 It's quite close to the specs they list for the 104, just 268 instead of 270 duration and I'm guessing the 212 is @ 50 thou, which is near to the 215 they list. You probably wouldn't notice the difference in the car, but having said that, if they list a spec on their website and that's what you've asked for and they do it "near enough" I'd wonder about their workmanship....? Trev Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 I shall ask Ivan next time he comes into work. Quote
philbey Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 Dude they are probably just the 50 thou lift values not the spec sheet values. Why don't you simply call him and ask for an explanation. Also you may have asked for a solid grind on a hydraulic cam, they won't be exactly the same especially when it comes to the difference between 0 and 50 thou lift. Call him and report back. Quote
