B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 Yeah, RCA-amp-speakers. Ok ill give it a go, so you only need to ground the outer ring? Will I have to do all 4 preouts? Quote
ke70dave Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 (edited) each one? i "think" so. outer ring? yep. that is the 'negative' side of the RCA, becareful not to short it on the pin, that is the positive side. try it on one and see if it fixes it. i had to do it on both of mine (i had 4, but the low pass filter on the sub got rid of the whine) i was suggested this by pioneer back when i first discovered it. they said if it fixed the problem i needed to get the unit repaired, but it did fix it, and i left it like that for 5yrs. http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f40/engine-whine-group-loop-fixes-435908/ that is exactly what i mean ^^^ Edited May 11, 2012 by ke70dave Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 (edited) Well it was a semi-cheap HU but I somehow doubt Ill get a replacement from WOW. Funny it didnt do it in Cop Bait. Ill try a new HU ground then see if that works and if not new HU time I suppose :( (if the dodgy fix desnt work) At least the whine doesnt increase with volume so I can drown it out :) Edited May 11, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 11, 2012 Author Report Posted May 11, 2012 The strange thing is it wont have the whine at first, my car will run like poo and try to stall, then the whine kicks in (usually 10-15 seconds after starting) and the car runs sweet. It must be all connected somehow. Quote
ke70dave Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 yeah mine came and went as it pleased. some days it wouldnt even turn up, other days it was so loud that i went without music as i just got so frustrated with it. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Anyone wanna swap some 7 or 8" wide steelies for my wheels? Paint/colour not an issue. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 This Otomoto HSD kit will be mine by the weekend hopefully. Going 6kg spring, in the middle of what everyone said, can always swap or buy new ones. Hopefully I can take all the gear to my fabricator mate this weekend and get some advice on how to put it together. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Yes! What damper are you using? pretty sure they are 200mm, ʞ©$ɟ i know I'm useless but i havent seen them for ages bought them so long ago and didnt have a tape measure when i took the pic. almost 100% they are 200mm Quote
rian Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 200mm of travel? But what about the body length, extended length etc? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Um..... not sure ha ha. I wanted to measure all that on sat but he couldnt find his tape measure. Really gotta find the specs on them. Same shocks Luke had in his red one with the same struts and a coil over kit. It sat like this wound as high as it'd go Quote
rian Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Ah cool, Luke's looked awesome at that height. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Author Report Posted May 14, 2012 Yeah, i think I have a bit to play with on mine before it gets questionably low, might just get a but more bumpy. And if I can swap my wheels its gonna look good. Quote
Jono.C Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 I paid for my coilover kit yesterday and they posted it this morning. WIN! Quote
