It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 I was going to say I wouldn't be going there ever again. Quote
SLW42 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 How's it all going now with the new front end?? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 9, 2012 Author Report Posted November 9, 2012 Its awesome. So much grip. With the Konis it so grounded. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 So I dropped the gearbox today, turns out the clutch fork wasnt attached to the throwout bearing, it had somehow unclipped. Which meant the clutch fork wasnt sitting on the pivot point properly, I honestly don't know how I was able to drive it around. When the fork is installed properly and the box bolted back up should the fork be really hard to move by hand? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 I mean I can't move it by hand at all to operate the clutch. Or is that just a really firm HD clutch. Quote
rian Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 I really don't think you should be able to move it by hand, the pressure plate takes a lot of force to depress. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 17, 2012 Author Report Posted November 17, 2012 Sweet I wanted to ask before I put it all back together 100%. Hopefully that fixes my gear change issue, otherwise it's out with the pedal box. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 Finally arrived. Happy Reed is happy. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) Shed session! So I managed to bolt most of it back together. Bled the clutch and I now have twice as much pedal movement. So it looks like the clutch fork retaining clip was the culprit (hopefully). Couldnt take it for a spin as the exhaust manifold gasket is shot and I didnt have any goo on me. Trimmed the front guards for less rubbing too. Edited November 24, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
Willis Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Couldnt take it for a spin as the exhaust manifold gasket is shot and I didnt have any goo on me. Goo is just the best. Looking good man. I should get some photos of my suspension.. Quote
rian Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 That shed is ʞ©$ɟing dope! Take a video of when you drive it tomorrow! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 Wont be driven tomorrow, don't think I can afford a gasket (if I can even get one tomorrow). Plus tomorrow is 'family' day. Quote
