Ella Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 reed and car hung out at my place today for a while, reed got lots done i mostly whinged about how sore i was and sat down a lot. But i got the idle sorted too. It wasnt any map sensors or the "tune" or anything like that just the plain old idle adjustement on the throttle body. Although the lack of an oxygen sensor is likely attributing to his light overfuelling (its not that bad). I'm sure Reed will update more once hes made it home. 1 Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 10, 2011 Author Report Posted December 10, 2011 You know it. As Luke said he adjusted the idle and the tension on the throttle cable. So I have far better response from the gogo pedal and am not constantly stalling out at every set of lights. Makes driving it enjoyable. :y: The throttle cable mount leaves a lot to be desired, a few metal zip ties. Will need to be sorted asap. I already have a pretty good idea on what I'm going to do. Another possible issue is the proximity of the exhaust to the clutch, may need to be shielded/heat wrapped? Also the carpet and seats got swapped over along with the steering wheel and center console, so it is now comfortable. Cop Bait getting raped :( Wanted to get more done but ran out of time. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 12, 2011 Author Report Posted December 12, 2011 Colour matches almost perfectly. Really needed these the last few days. Quote

ke70dave Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 hey mate, here is that photo i mentioned on sunday about the clutch line. that banjo bolt was like 6 bucks i think, nice and cheap, i can't remember the details of it, better of taking the clutch slave down with you to the hydraulics shop etc. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Checked last night it already has one. Win. Not a braided line though I may wrap it in a heat resistant something, heat wrap the extractors and put a shield in. Quote
BUZ440 Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 It took you 5 pages? Yeah well you need to see a car to decide, unless your packing 300hp plus in a sub 900kg car Definately has potential, at least you still have a rear end after Sunday, haha Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted December 15, 2011 Author Report Posted December 15, 2011 Heat wrap on, need to replace the fluid still. Quote
rian Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) How much heat comes off the exhaust near the slave cylinder now that it is heat wrapped? Can you touch it? I'll probably have to do this too. Edited December 15, 2011 by rianwest Quote
