skd30 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 At your age you can count on the 1500 going towards rego and insurance. Or is that budget not including getting it on the road? Quote

Evan G Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 will be perfect for a turbo set up. 8:1 compression and a huge cam will be slower than a stock 3k Quote
altezzaclub Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 $1500 will go nowhere if you want to do it properly- any motor you get will need a strip down and a freshen up, probably a hone, new rings, maybe bearings, gasket set... Port head, skim head, cut valves and seats, new timing chain & tensioners, grind cam & followers, extractors, new exhaust... That's $2000 gone already... 1 Quote
