markus91 Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Hey guys i bought an 82 ke70 last week. the car came with the standard 4kc motor and 4 speed manual box. when i got the car it had s13 coilovers on front and cut springs on the rear. also came with s13 front brake setup and had the diff welded wich i have since blown. so i was wondering what diff i could put into the car that wouldnt crap itself aftter a little beating and would go straight in, also if anyone knows any easy and cheap ways to get better power from this massive 1.3l engine cheers? Grand Master of Awesome Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 IF you blew a borgy with your 4kc i suggest you sell your car and hand your license in. Quote

Locked diffs are hopeless anyway, if you're going to spend money on another diff get something that will take an LSD. Sadly AE86 gear is the answer and EVERYONE wants it. easy and cheap ways to get better power from this massive 1.3l engine Easy- cam, carbs, head job, exhaust... all easy to find and not expensive. BlueKsev Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Or look into a T series from a te72/ t18. All you need is rear half of the tailshaft and the handbrake cables for it to work + it takes LSD centres when you want to head down that road. However, the ke70 diffs rarely blow with the standard 4kc. Has it maybe just had a crappy weld job and its popped the welds? Quote

altezzaclub Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 yeah- poor little 1300 doesn't need much at all. If its not a racecar you never even fill 2" really, I start at 2" and go to 1& 3/4" after the resonator. Quote
