hay guys can get a ae71 for 1500. with origianl 4ac. only problem is the diff is making a noise.

should i get this. ?

how much would it cost for a engine conversion to a 4age ?

or would i be better of just dropping a 4age into my seca since its jsut put in and bolt in.

I dunno, 1500, with a questionable diff... Is it manual or auto? Manual, DO IT! Auto, $1000.

Having said this, I haven't seen the car, etc, etc, etc.

Cheers, Jake.

its manuel thinking about offering 1000 and pick up this week.

but thing is putting in a efi. engine into a carby that doesnt bolt straight in.

could cost me 4000 grand. 2 more than my 4a fe seca.

Go for it!!

If it's a manual and has a 4AC you can drop a 4AGE in no worries, but if you want it legal you will need an engineers cert. Requires upgrade in suspension, brakes, radiator and fit a surge tank. This is why AE71's are valuable, unlike the KE70.

yeah but thats gonna cost me alot of monoey close to 4k. my ae101 will cost about 2k.

so I'm thinking about just getting one in my ae. than save for the 71.

manual diffs whine in *e7*'s, Very Common.

What's wrong with a 4ac? If it goes alright you don't need a new engine, save up and do it when you have the money?

the diff whine will most likely be the axel bearings, around 50bucks in parts, and whatever it costs you to get the bearings pressed off/on the axel (50bucks it cost me at the local mechanic).

yeah budget around 2-3k to do a 4age in an ae71, 3-4k for a ke70 id say.

having just completed a 4ac auto to 4ac man/t50, the bellhousings are different. the box has a different design and will not bolt onto a t50
