hey guys, i'm very new to cars so please go easy on me haha. well i've just got my ke70 i'm a spray painter so body work etc will be easy to take care of. I know people put 4age's in them I know you can get the 20v and the 16v but I don't know how much I should spend on one with loom, gear box and motor? Also are there any other bumpers off other ke/ae series corollas that will fit on it because I'm not a big fan on how much the standard bumpers stick out? and last but not least would i have any trouble fitting 15x8 0 offset 114.3x4? thanks guys.

15x8 will fit if you are a panel beater and don't mind a bit of lipping and possibly some flaring of ye olde guards.

T-18 chrome bumpers will fit, I have made ke30 bumpers fit mine, some people cut down the black ones or you can pay far too much money for proper DX chrome ones.

Or find some panel van ke70 ones.

Most will need new mounts. My ke30 ones fit in with out too much pissing around.

Engine prices go from 500 to 5000+, depends on how much you want to do yourself.

Remember a KE70 needs all the AE71 shit to fit a 4age in easy.

Thanks guys, yeah rolling and flaring m guards I can do piece of cake. One Of my mates is a mechanic so the engine work shouldn't be too bad to get around.. What ae71 stuff would I need? Ive been told all I need is a ae71 control arms t18 box (I don't know if I can get the 4age box and use that or not?) is that all I need?

Pretty sure T18 box needs to be modified as T18 has a straight steering shaft with no uni joint as it is not needed for a steering box where as e7's have a uni joint in the steering shaft for the rack which results in the clutch pedal having more of a kick out so to say to make room for the shaft.

In short, what you will need is:

ae71 tailshaft

ae71/ ae86 t-50 gearbox- 22 spline? the t18 one has a different spline to most 4age's.

ae71 gearbox crossmember

ae71 engine crossmember

ae71 pedal box to suit the hydraulic clutch

electric fuel pump

wiring loom and ecu

and of course, a 4age.
