7shades Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) The fundamentals are good... Engine would comfortably trounce anything A or K powered... But my god... Those wheels, dat paint. Edited November 22, 2011 by 7shades 1 Quote
ke70dave Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 i don't think its a real race car, look at that bolt in cage. I don't think cams allows bolt in cages? might look ok with bettter wheels, i don't mind the paint for a race car. gotta stand out eh. though maybe only have 1 colour change, not 4. Quote
irokin Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I don't think cams allows bolt in cages? Sure do: http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_req/GQ11_2012_Schedule_J_Q411.pdf 18.2 Mounting Points of the Front, Main and Lateral Rollbars or Lateral Half-Rollbars: (a) Each mounting point shall include a mounting foot consisting of a plate at least 3mm thick. Each mounting foot shall be attached by at least three bolts to a steel reinforcement plate at least 3mm thick and of at least 120cm2 area which is welded to the bodyshell. Where attached by bolts, the angle between any two bolts shall not be less than 60° (measured from the tube axis at the level of the mounting foot circumference – Drawing J-60). You have to weld reinforcing plates to the chassis but its still a bolt in cage. Quote
Redwarf Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Actually it depends on the age. If it has a logbook old enough, it may even be an alloy bolt in cage and still be legal.. *shudder* Quote
BUZ440 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 I have seen those plates before on something enticing many years ago, hmmm :hmm: Quote
orangeLJ Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 I think the shape and colours make me constantly read the plate as SNES.... :laff: Super nintendo anyone? Quote
abbott Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 even the original, Nintendo entertainment system aka NES! Quote
altezzaclub Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 What was behind it and under the RX7?? Austin Healey? MG-B? Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 What was behind it and under the RX7?? Austin Healey? MG-B? or potentially an AC Bristol but highly unlikely :hmm: Quote
