kickn5k Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Got any pics of the wheels on the car yet???? Quote
rian Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 (edited) Those wheels are epic! Hey Spencer can you weigh one? Edited November 27, 2011 by rianwest Quote
kickn5k Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 (edited) Yeehaa. Looks sweet on the dark blue too. Just to f' with your head. Is this thing going to be "full Mexican" Like the sev(wheels hanging out of the guards) well that's what Pozman called it when he saw photos of the old car. I'm liking how this beast is going! You should use the haltech, but sell the sc to fund 20v quads!! Don't get me wrong I'm a boost junkie, but I'm tipping you have less room in the bay area than my 11!! 4AGE's beg for quads!!!!!! Spencer[RL] Posted November 27, 2011 Author Report Posted November 27, 2011 So the rotas weigh 7kgs with no tyre I just did a quick search and uncovered that a SSr mk2 R14 x 8jj weigh's 6.6kg (http://www.driftireland.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5206) and if you remember I was looking at R15 so I guess it would make up for that 0.3 of a kg maybe more?? So there's the whole rota being to heavy disagreement settled  Stu yea I should get rid of the sc14 on that k bracket and start looking for some quads! I have decided that it will be a angry N/A engine. Wheels will prob turn out to be more mexican than the name " Horzay Gonzales " but that depends on how much I can get out the guards. I'm building this thinking that the car will go over the pits weekly all I do is chuck my stock wheels on and get it re-registered.( Its sad we got to build our cars like this today ) I'm Looking into engineering a Cusco Cage, Sparco Sprints and some coilovers. rian Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 I knew I read somewhere that the Grid Vs weren't heavy, I think I want some. Quote
19914afc Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 can you engineer full cage or only half? Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 27, 2011 Author Report Posted November 27, 2011 Pretty sure a full cage can be engineered , this Cusco cage has passed FIA standards so we shall see. Oh yea paint is still up in the air :laff: :bash: .....What about a metallic bronze!!! arghhhhhhhhhhh Got this bronze metallic from my wheel nuts, they look good against the white... Quote
ke70dave Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 that 7kg isnt as bad as i thought for the rota. untill you realise that the SSR type C in 15x7.5" is 4.3kg:P (so 14x8 must be about the same...) haha nah 7kg isnt bad for a street wheel, seen a vid of the SSR's snap on ripple strips.... Spencer[RL] Posted November 28, 2011 Author Report Posted November 28, 2011 Yea, I even got a shock when i lifted 1 up, not going to lie those shackotons were pushing l mid to high teens in the weight sector. Anyway itching to get some rubber on them. Having a 9-5 job is hard to get anything done in the week!!!! Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 30, 2011 Author Report Posted November 30, 2011 Random question! What's the rough square meterage of a ke70? Or anything similar! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 I reckon about 13m2 minus windows and shit 4 doors (4 sq) boot (1sq) roof (2sq) bonnet (2sq) front guards (2sq) rear (2sq) with a lot over over estimating Quote
