Thirteen13 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 Nice work man, joined the prestigious screamer club! you need some Z or T power now. in refernce to rims, Man they run same offset as my car, anymore dish that what I'm running without pumped guards and its going to scrub like a mofo, i was going to go +25 and it would have scrubbed! Spencer[RL] Posted November 19, 2011 Author Report Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) Cam - he said he got it from Rockingham some time ago.. Thirteen - You did the z onto a standard 4age? or just 4agze... I'm really tempted to do the z, I have a sc14... but then I'm tempted to make a 4age n/a SCREAMERRRRRRRRRRR! oh yea , wheels need to be wide with mental offset...15x8 +0 Edited November 19, 2011 by Spencer Quote
Thirteen13 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 na full 4agze, the sc14 is a bit of a muck around to mount to the 4a as needs all customs bits, if you can get an sc12 it goes straight on! also there is a bloke on toymods who i met with a worked 20v in his aw11 and made a lovely 140/150kw or so and it was farken mental! or i do have a gt2871r which will pull a lazy 200kw bolted onto a 4ag! 19914afc Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Decent amount of weight to be lost in interior gotten rid of about 100kgs in the T18 already and still no where near done stripping stuff out. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 20, 2011 Author Report Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) Jake - Wow 100kgs thats a lot, i'll have a look into it... So as you some might of seen i've been hunting for some decent 4x100 wheels, well I got offered these!! Now there is 1 downside and we all know what it is.... I've also been looking at some very nice rota's which are half the price of the SSR's Also some colour options to have a think about.. Ssr's Rota Grid V's Colour option 1 ( my fav right now ) Colour option 2 Colour option 3( Showing Rota Grid V's ) Edited November 20, 2011 by Spencer Quote
_FNQ_rolla_ Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 So after me selling my pride and joy ke70 ...... Going from a 4k to a 4age is Wow ...I don't have to keep my foot flat on the floor to keep up with traffic! I understand your power increase. But I did it the other way around I went from a worked 4AGZE manual to a 3K auto, which I had to keep the foot flat on the floor because everything on the road felt like a Ferrari. All the best with your future plans. Quote
Jrad Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Sad to hear it's gone! But... Option 2. Easier to keep it close to original colour I still haven't re-painted your rims haha. I stripped them and did the polished/machined face and polished all the rim. Came up a treat and I've just left them silver. Quote
rian Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 I like the Rotas, if only genuine TE37v's were affordable... Hey are you any good with photoshop? Throw some d's on that bitch! ...I mean photoshop some wheels onto your car. Quote
19914afc Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 Ye still more weight to be lost! Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) I think there's a lot of weight to be lost in the engine cover, bootlid and bonnet and its weight thats near the top of the car so might look into fibreglass moulding that before ripping everthing out everything in the interior.. ke70dave Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 leave the interiour as it is..... i like the white on grey colour, that looks cool. nice lookin mr2, ive always wnated to try one of these cars, interesting what rear mounted engine feels like through the twisties. love the epic 80s dash. Spencer[RL] Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 Yea I'm loving the leather seats and aircon...The most luxury thing the G.sled had was carpets on the floor and the fake woodgrain steering wheel. Feels direct and the steering wheel is really responsive , is a little soft with some roll.. it weighs 1070kg surprisingly.. The whole suspension is adjustable and around 2 degress of negative cambers can be acheived in the front, the ride height ofcourse can not be adjusted. Which makes me think do I really need $1000 coilovers so I can change my car ride height, and with cops becoming more anal about eveything.. Also learnt that I am not allowed to cut the rear gaurds out as this is a monocoque chassis the body work is deemed part of the chassis , so cutting a gaurd out is modifying the chassis which is a big no no at vechile inspection.. BlueKsev Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 I've always loved these cars, i can imagine it would be sweeeet to drive, i'd be saving up for one right now if they weren't two seaters.. And IMO, Get the Ssr's, paint the centre's white, and go with the white and silver paint scheme and it would look insane! And try avoid removing the interior too, i'd rather not feel like i'm sitting in a tin for the loss of 50kg... Anyway i'll stop telling you what to do hahaha good luck with it man hope it turns out as good as the ke70 did!! Cheers Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 Cheers man, Yea interior will stay as is like I said I'm loving this bit of luxury.. :laff: I'm going rota's in white , should be on by this weekend... I can't justify the price of them SSR's its stupid money, I got other things to waist my money on like rust , paint , strippers , seats , cage , 304 cams ...list is long... But I can guarantee it will look good. Also have a Facebook page to follow the build on " Spencer's Ghetto Builds ".... Quote
