rian Posted July 6, 2013 Author Report Posted July 6, 2013 ^As long as it's not too much effort to fix that's fine with me. I seriously hope I don't have to replace the front dampers or anything because they are only staying in the car for about 10 minutes after I get a roadworthy certificate as the coilovers will be going straight in. B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Rust repairs look awesome bro, good work. Come do mine? Quote
rian Posted July 6, 2013 Author Report Posted July 6, 2013 lol cheers man, but it's really not that good up close. I just got sick of sanding. Quote
undercoverninja Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Hahaha shit I saw this in person when I bought some parts off you a couple of months ago, nice work on the rust repairs, even if you got lazy it's at least 50x better then what I did to the boot of mine :S. Quote

Just get a mobile guy! They're usually pretty chill. I know a guy but he'd probably want too much to come up to yours. Edited July 8, 2013 by It's_AUDM_Yo Quote
rian Posted July 8, 2013 Author Report Posted July 8, 2013 ^Yeah I've spoken to Craig at Performance Auto Inspections, he is mobile and was recommended to me by the guy who did my modplate. He's going to come out and do a safety check soon. $120 is what it's going to cost... Quote
rian Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 Safety check booked for tomorrow! Shiiiit I know it's going to fail. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 You'll be right. I can come and help you fine tune the things you arent happy with one day when its running. :wootjump: Quote
rian Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 Ahhh so kind of you. I figure that with the safety check, I only pay the call-out fee once and if it fails he said he will just drop in another time when he's in the area. So I may as well get him to check it as soon as possible. If it fails then I know what I have to fix, rather than wasting time on shit I'm going to pull off as soon as it passes (stock suspension etc). Quote
rian Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 So I have acquired a green piece of paper. I think that means I can drive now. Quote
rian Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 You should see how well I cleaned it! I'll get a pic now because I'm on my way out to get CTP, rego and Japanese curry. FOOOOOOOOOK YEAH! Quote
rian Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 Probably the neatest this car has been in the last 10 years: Fitted twin cam wheel, switch panel etc (sorry for out of focus pic, couldn't be bothered to change from 50mm lens): And the blue car looking sad: I've sorted the CTP and I'm going to TMR tomorrow morning to get the car registered. Then the coilovers, wheels, quadlights + grille and fully hektik racing front spoiler can go on. Quote
