Lycothrax Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) Hi guys, Just had to share some pics of my wife's Corolla build, I had some "parts" laying around and thought they might fit on the ol 4AC :) Edited November 12, 2011 by Lycothrax Quote
Ben-89 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Hi Dave, first of all welcome to the club! :) Now that is something different, this would go as well as it looks. So clean keep the updates coming :y: Quote
Lycothrax Posted November 12, 2011 Author Report Posted November 12, 2011 Yeah was a fun little build up.. a bit on the ghetto side of things but we spent a lot of time on the engine rebuild to cope with the blower. Thought running it off an old stromberg CD-32 carby was a cheap alternative to EFI with some nice results. As far as HP goes it dyno'd at 151 HP / 261Nm of Torque which is why the standard diff spat some teeth out through the diff hat :P We ended up using a diff from a 2.6 liter sigma and all is well. Spencer[RL] Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Thats cool man..very clean and straight...Nice skid :laff: Quote
MrInKryption Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Nice. It's certainly different. In a good way Quote
clubby2084 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Certainly different to see a S/C 4A. What a great little gadget. Great photo's too, but feel free to give us more details. Like, how to turn that set up clockwise, and mount power steer and A/C. :laff: Good work and welcome to RC Quote
Lycothrax Posted November 12, 2011 Author Report Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) So... here is the thing, on the up side it goes really good but on the down side there's no A/C or power steer which is not too much of a problem cause its light. We ended up using the engine bracket that was for the A/C or power steer to hold the alternator ... forget which one now :P For the most part it was a straight forward build up with very little in the way of problems but i will try to find some more of the pics that show some of the finer details. :) Edited November 12, 2011 by Lycothrax Quote

BUZ440 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I'm sure I have driven past this car down on the Gold Coast a few weeks back, I thought it was a TG gemini at first, but noticed a few oddities, Looks good mate Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Interested to what bracket you used , Part number maybe? Quote
philbey Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 That's a home made bracket for sure, albeit a nicely made one. Quote
