KE18RG Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Hi guys i have a 3k and my mate has a 4k ( yay for us =.= lol ) Anyways his giving me his manual gearbox, pedal box and whatnot, everything i need to convert to manual. I was thinking, hey while its out i might aswell machine the flywheel and get a new clutch, they are cheap =) question is, does the 4ks gearbox bolt straight up to the 3k? And do i get a clutch to suit a 4k or a 3k =S Quote
altezzaclub Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 It should be just a bolt-on. Don't forget to buy a $7 spigot bearing for the back of the crankshaft. Get the flywheel taken down to 6Kg, that's pretty easy, and a complete new clutch kit cost me $80 odd. Here's how I did it- http://www.ke70.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1493&hl= Quote
KE18RG Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 i could possibly use his 4k but that means id have to wait longer to rebuild his engine.. but i guess it would be better to use a 4k then a 3k lol!! spigot bearing 6kg - flywheel I'm writing these down LOL! thanks heaps man!!
