unrealimports Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Just acquired this ke70 from a co-worker, he sold it to at a pretty cheap price. It does need shitloads of work, some body work needs doing, it's got a fawkin transplanted driver's door with different color. Smells like a sewer inside, but the engine runs good. My plans for this KE, change the engine, trans, dash, interior, paint, wheels, practically every freakin thing except the shell. My customs agent said my crate from overseas with all my parts has arrived, and can be picked up in the next couple of days. In the crate are my goodies 4AGE 20 valve BT T50 trans Quad round headlight conversion Extractors Bodykits AE111 Dash AE86 Rear with LSD Radiator Pedals and Blah blah blah I have no idea how I'm gonna pick the shit up from Port Adelaide, its a 3.2 cubic meter crate and its 1.2 tons Probably gonna hire a flatbed ute, hope it fits though. Then someone is gonna come over next week to give me quote on the paint job, cuz i'm not sticking with this boring white paint job, I simply can't do body work and paintjob. You guys just have to wait and see what will be my paint scheme. But I wanna get it painted before I install the parts. So who wants to help me....hehehe Below are the pics of the car, its practically stipped down already, and sold most of the parts like engine, trana..etc Quote
mhmills Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 You certainly have your work cut out for you... Good luck! Quote
unrealimports Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 I'm looking at hopefully end of this year, or latest Feb of next year, cuz I can only work on the car when on my days off. Me and my 7 yr old son did the deconstruction, he passes me the tools I need.....hehehe If I need some help on some wiring and other things since I wont be using any stock parts for this car,,,,hope I can count on you guys... unrealimports Posted November 21, 2011 Author Report Posted November 21, 2011 I picked up my parts from the port a week ago or so. But I still need to get more bits here and there. Received the 4age 20v BT engine,ae86 rear,ae111 dash, t50 trans, and etc. Bodywork will start next month, then paint, them do some modification to make things fit, then put everything together, then order more parts, it never ends. Plus I have other parts being shipped from all over the world, like the rims, silicone hoses, brake lines, and the list goes on and on. Quote
Ben-89 Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 Going by sounds of the pace and the type of parts arriving, it should be a really cool ke70. Keep up the good work :y: Quote
unrealimports Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Hows this project going? Been a while, and the car is still at the bodyshop, hopefully will be done by the end of this month, then I will post the new paint job and color. The new paintcolor is...............Lamborghini orange, with black stripes in the middle....basically the only color scheme of the car is black and orange...no chrome whatsoever, even the door handles are painted orange. I'm still sourcing parts from overseas, selling parts I don't need, and all that shytt At the moment my dilemma is the coilovers, brake kit, front seats, new dash mould(gonna try to fit ae111 dash in it), plus the gauges as in trying to figure out the. I'm also gonna get 4 xxr 002 gun metal rims, closest to black i can get...plus they the deepest dish..about 3.5 inch lip I already have my steering wheel, boss kit, quick release hub, racing radiator, orange silicone hoses Plus the small bits... Here are the parts I'm getting from the manufacturers overseas.....I'm getting all my parts as samples from these guys.... Brake kit with orange 4pot calipers, with 289mm rotors, ....my main prob is the rotor shield I have...too small Adjustable coilovers.....should I get an ae86 or s13 set Seats....just gonna make it fit with some minor fabrications The head unit I'm gonna get..it has a detachable face that you can use as a tablet...hehehe Check the pics lemme know what you think And who wants to help me put it together.....we'll have a ke70 party at my house... unrealimports Posted April 11, 2012 Author Report Posted April 11, 2012 The car is coming along guys I have some pics from the body shop, the panel beater takes forever to finish the car. Quote
unrealimports Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Posted April 13, 2012 The car is at Aldinga, getting the body work and paint done, then it goes back to my place for me to put it together with a help of some people. I still need to get my wheels, which is gonna take a while, since they are out of stock. Then I need to get the gauges, make a template to fit the ae111 dash, more work to be done... Quote
Willis Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Hey man, good stuff. Another Blacktop Ksev!!!! If you haven't purchased the suspension yet, I'd recommend buying 86 items over the S13 gear. Ask KE70dave about the S13 gear, he knows all about it. I'm thinking about doing the ae111 dash myself. I've got all I need to do it left over from the half cut so it's doable. I'm keen to see how you approach it. Good shit!!! Keep it up. Quote
unrealimports Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Posted April 13, 2012 How long has it been there? Dude a long fawking time......the guy doing the bodywork and paintjob takes his time, I should hope to get the car by next week....i hope I'm no rush, but it sucks cause i have 2 weeks off, we could have done the engine already. The xxr 002 rims I ordered is out of stock until May, Plus the seats i an ordering from China is giving me issues....not wide enough for the rails, means I have to drill a couple of holes, I guess that's what you get when you want custom stuff I have to get other small bits as well...black window cranks, door bezels, to replace the blue ones And the biggy...i need upholstery done for the rear seats, door panels, roof linings. This is more work than my JZA80 Supra i used to have. Quote
