bwendaman Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 will this weber manifold fit straight onto my 4k ke70 engine, it's all stock so far, quick answers a good answer :) thanks Quote
bwendaman Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 here's a pic http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=270791758802&index=12&nav=SEARCH&nid=81837215354 Quote
KENut Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Yes it will fit, BUT (and this may not be relevant) you could run into issues with the carb fouling on the standard exhaust header. With twins on my old 4K the pump linkage hit the hotbox. Quote
bwendaman Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 what if I had the weber 32/36 carby, then would I still run into problems with the weber manifold? thanks heaps Quote
bwendaman Posted October 26, 2011 Author Report Posted October 26, 2011 can anyone else help me?? Quote
158kw4k Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 That manifold is designed for a side draft. A 32/36 is down draft. Quote
bwendaman Posted October 26, 2011 Author Report Posted October 26, 2011 so what would be a good carby, manifold, extractors upgrade be?? for my stock 4k motor?? Quote
158kw4k Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Buy coby extractors. I can get them for 150 nzd. Use standard inlet mani and 32/36 adapter 50 nzd and 32/36 weber. That would be the cheap way. If you wana go expensive go side drafts. SU's can work to. Depends how much you wana spend. Quote
Rocky_RX70 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Yeah i've got the 32/36 Weber setup it goes fine on standard manifold with small adaptions. That first side draft manifold looked like it would put the carby's close to the strut tower aswell, I'd Rather a big C flow ram manifold kinda like the 4k-e fuel injection manifold. You'll get higher response with more ram. Quote
bwendaman Posted October 26, 2011 Author Report Posted October 26, 2011 cheaper way for sure, so coby extractors and a 32 36 weber and adaptor will go onto my 4k without any troubles?? cheers Quote
158kw4k Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Yeah. you'll just need to get it a bit of a tune up and it'll go good. Quote
