Tiger Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Big fan of Goodyear Eagle F1s, however, too soft a compound and you'll rip them up straight away.. but you'll have sensational grip wet/dry until then. I love my BF Goodrich G-Force Sports! AWESOME tyres! And Yokas have never upset anybody... I'd go the BF's if you can get em... otherwise... Eagle F1s :S Quote
gtnickk Posted December 25, 2005 Author Report Posted December 25, 2005 Thanks Tiger love your idea about the BF's however i had to say orignally they wernt in the picture, but my mates have BF's and reckon they are the best tyre's so now they can be considered. Thanks for youre advice. Quote
Clown Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 I'm running Khumo and Falken on the mr2. Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I've got sumitomos on mine and they are a damm grippy tyre. Quote
gtnickk Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 Well people today is the day. Rims are getting fitted and goodyear tyres are getting thrown on to. Thanks to everyone replying :) Quote

One rim on The Final Result Well i think the rolla is starting to look tuff. And for the price i can't complain. :) Tell us what you think . Edited January 5, 2006 by gtnickk Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 They look different to the pic you posted? Maybe because they are smaller? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 :) a roller skate. At least it doesn't look f@$kin stupid, like a Lancer with a huge bodykit and 18's on standard height springs Quote
gtnickk Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 I so f@#kin agree i hate riced up rich boy lancers wanabe Evo's they just piss me off. And Nick the car is getting lowered went and did some research and found out to my suprise that pedders shocks are shit. I was shocked coz of there reputation. So now its Kings and Monroe combination. can't wait Cuz i got mates rates to. Ah yeh that picture was the only link i could find but it is the same rim different finish thats all. :) Oh and just so you people know the tyres are Goodyear Eagle Ventura. I tried for F1's but they didnt have any these were the next best so i got these. I'm happy the handling and traction is way improved, i can only think whats going to happen when my suspension gets done. I can't wait "modyfying cars is so much fun". Quote
love ke70 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 looks pretty good :) but i have to say i do prefer the shadow chrome. but it still looks awesome with those, can't wait to see her lower Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 The extra width would be helping with your handling and traction... Am I right? Quote
love ke70 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 sometimes extra width reduces traction...but i don't think ur quite that wide :) Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I'm not arguing, but how does extra width reduce traction. I was told yesterday that without the right amount of power, wider wheels will actually result in a slower take off for a rally car, as it wont dig in well enough, which makes sense...but on the road?? Quote
gtnickk Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 Well i can tell you for a fact that my take offs are faster and that i do have better traction. As for daily driving i used to feel every bloody bump in the road but not know it just glides over i couldnt of asked for any thing better. I will take some better pics when i wash my car on the weekend, bit dirty, and i don't like it. BUt I'm so stoked with my car and the way it handles. No 1 major upgrade for any car is better rims and tyres i should think. Quote
love ke70 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 there was a big talk about it one time on the old toymods, its basically the same principle as the rally car thing, if you spread the load so wide, then rather than sitting down and sticking into/onto the surface they just slip along the top Quote
