158kw4k Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Hey just brought a ke70 and put a 5k in it (currently being turbo'd) But I'm having trouble setting up the clutch cable to the clutch for? Ill post some pics. Am i missing something. Thanks for the help!! Quote
altezzaclub Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 What seems to be missing? Why won't it fit? Does the 5K have a circular hole cast into the block to take the outer cable?? Have a search to check if the 5K is hydraulic & that people convert the car to hydraulics when they fit the 5K. Quote
158kw4k Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 I'm using a k40 and I'm pretty sure the 5k isn't hydro. Could you post a pic of you clutch cable with the clutch fork and ill try sus out the problem. Thanks for the help :D Quote
philbey Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 5K is cable and has the hole for it. The flange on the left where the cable comes through that should fit up against the hole through the block. I found on mine that the sandwich plate didn't have a corresponding hole (think I used the 3K one) and I had to drill it out in-situ. Also that big round sucker on the end of the cable doesn't look right, it should be a simple yoke that hooks over the clutch lever. Quote
158kw4k Posted October 10, 2011 Author Report Posted October 10, 2011 Thanks for help didn't think it looked right. Think i might just buy a new clutch cable. Also should there be a spring attached to the clutch fork? Quote
newjak Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 yes there should be a spring and also there should be an extra bit on the end of your clutch cable that hooks over the fork Quote
