Dodgey reg? I have/had13.8(battery shop believe that's low) with my KE-70/Holden statesman alt on my 5kze which I'll use again with the 5kte setup. I have the battery in the boot too. What size cable are you using?

ive got the charge light wire from the plug on the back of the alternator hooked up to a random 12v ignition source because i couldnt find where to connect it to the light itself could that be a problem??.

Yeah, as said 13.8V-14.2V is the normal, and ideal charging voltage.

"it probably would, yes, put it back to standard.. D+ on the back of the alternator.." And this too.

You do have a chance to set it all on fire..... Don't pick the wrong wire!

You'd be better to get an auto electrician to look at it, or get the 4AGE AND the KE70 wiring diagrams and look at them carefully.

Ive been looking up info and a guy has hooked the charge light wire from the alternator to the positive terminal on the coil as this is an ignition switched source. Does this sound dodgy to anyone?
