dbr11k Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Skyline lights. I did see a few pair of 32 lights for sale, an a cheap pair of r34 lights too.. tempting Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Just wondering if they would be too curved. R31 lights maybe. Quote
dbr11k Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 marked out the holes for my gauges tonight.. have oil press, water temp and volts.. need to save pennies for the other 5 gauges air fuel ratio, boost/vac, oil temp, fuel level, fuel press spent most my day cleaning this poor old girl up, need to get on an rebuild the motor soon Quote
dbr11k Posted March 25, 2014 Author Report Posted March 25, 2014 so got all my gauges wired up, fitted fuel sender to my cell, got a lot of body work done on her, heat wrapped the exhaust with titanium wrap. made a gear knob cause I'm broke. finally put 100 micron Holley filter before the pumps. got the foot brakes plumbed up and discovered the system is gunna need a bigger master cylinder, using bm44 with s13 boost 15/16 should be plenty big, if not I'll try 1" pbr master. other than that not too much happening, trying to move to the Gold Coast so saving all the money I can.. need to sort out paint, tonneau cover and windscreen/rear window as well as hydro master cylinder, which all require $$ happy snaps, and trying to light her up in dad's tiny ass shed with too much traction and shit brakes lol Quote
dbr11k Posted March 31, 2014 Author Report Posted March 31, 2014 bm44 15/16 master and original booster installed, was a pretty tight squeeze but fits like a glove and the brakes feel amazing now ???? Quote
dbr11k Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 progress.. won't be welding a cage in, just wanna drive an no money for pipe.. so bracing the car and gusseting along with welding harness points if needed. fuel tank sender done and cell vacuumed out. interior panels welded in, onto the rear doors next. re angled my exhaust to tuck up neater. stripping the interior down again once finished to paint with por15 me an Bella have been creating a rocket with 2kg rcandy motors Quote
dbr11k Posted April 10, 2014 Author Report Posted April 10, 2014 does anyone even get on these forums anymore or what lol seems to me every pricks migrated to Facebook.. even quiet on other forums like ae86dc and hardtuned Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Yeah all forums are generally quiet now. Good for tech builds and stuff but not so good for sales. Facebook pages are getting pretty bad. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 I'm always reading all the threads, just don't post much. I'd guess there are a lot of people in this boat. Quote
JimL Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) Yep same with me, lurk a lot and thoroughly enjoy reading all the build threads, but I don’t bother posting because I don’t have a heap of technical knowledge to contribute. The Ute is looking mad btw, very unique. Edited April 10, 2014 by JimL Quote
B-Lugg Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Don't know how I've managed to miss this thread - I always thought that this thing was a just hacked up for fun going by the pictures on Facebook. Seems like your switched on and it will be one hell of a car when it's done! Good job! It really is a shame that Facebook is now my only source for parts now with the exception of retailers, that website is crammed with crap. Quote
