dbr11k Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Thanks heaps for the info mate!! I'm keen as beans but I highly doubt I will have this thing ready to go by that date, but ya never know, might be a bit of motivation to get my shit together.. My to do list is as follows: Get my motor in Radiator support made Exhaust system made T-series diff in Wheel alignment Tail shaft made Battery relocated inside Fuel system re-done Heaps more to do but that's just the essentials. Is it just a track day? What I mean is will drifting be tolerated? Quote
dbr11k Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Really shit photo of the paint as well... Quote
Rob 5000 Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 should be a weapon when you get it on the road Quote
dbr11k Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Just finished loading it off old mates car his words were "its fuking scary to drive" haha, so should be pretty good :P First thing in the morning this is getting dropped in the bay, I'm that god damn keen to get this thing going now, I look like the Cheshire cat at the moment I'm that happy, can't imagine what I'll be like when I get her started up and drive it for the first time. dbr11k Posted June 16, 2012 Author Report Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) Put my engine bay back together today, and started making up a radiator support for it, I was planning on making a completely custom one but I thought I will just base it off the original one, I welded on some plates each end of it after grinding the bits of I don't need.... And that about as far as I got lol... Going to drill the holes for it tomorrow and weld nuts onto it so that I can remove it when ever need be, and smooth it off etc.. I will have to box it so that its a bit stronger, after all its going to be holding a fair bit of weight ordered some cusco engine mounts and I have to wait for them to show up so I can drop the motor in and then start mounting the radiator, oil cooler and intercooler. Then after that I've got to get some power sorted and fuel line's, then start the big girl :D Also put the wiring loom, coils and ecu under the dash, thank god they were all marked out otherwise I would have been in for a fun time! Willis Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 That is a disgustingly attractive engine package you have there. Should be an adrenaline rush when all's said and done haha. Quote
dbr11k Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 This sucks so much balls, pay day is Friday, Ive got a few solid days off AND NO ENGINE MOUNTS... Damn you pokie machine damn you and your stupid effin gamble button lol Oh and thanks guys I'm actually a tad bit scared already hahaha Quote

dbr11k Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 YOU WANT MORE?! yea sure thing lol... Didn't wanna put too many up cause I didn't really think people would want it blocking up the forum.. ill just dig some out of my phone now Quote
dbr11k Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 That is my girls hand not mine by the way lol, I'm not a midget... She is. If you look closely you can still see texta on the impeller wheel. Just playing around, I'm not going to know how it mounts until I have the motor in.. That's all I have on my phone but here are a few from before I owned it Quote
dbr11k Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 Haha thank you for the approval, I'll be doing a heap of body work on this, till my mounts show up, just so it gets out of the way, I still havent finished the rear flares and I started them last year!! My hydraulic hand brake is all plumbed up too, I'm not going to mount it still.. because I don't know where the shifter will sit, and I'm not sure if I like it where it is, I might end up changing it so it is right next to the steering wheel yet... Ive got to modify the lines on my clutch slave as well because the supra gear box has the clutch fork on the drivers side. And I'm nearly out of damn welding gas, again! Quote
Willis Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Sorry, which W5x is it?? For the shifter location problem? My W55 shifter sits absolutely perfect. Right where it should be. Don't know about the rest of the W series' though. Quote
