What Diff Should I Use In My Ae/Ke70/71

hi guys I have a ke70 with a 4age in her factory big port with hi comp pistons and a set of cams. I don't know how much hp its got but I have blown 1 ke70 diff up already and I'm wanting to know what anyone can tell me about what i should do to the ass end. i would like to put a locker or a lsd in it. and would love disc brakes!!

Patrick, how much money are you willing to spend? For 1000-2000 you could have a rock solid LSD fitted, but we need budget idea's first.

JDD ae86 T series diff with 2 way and Disc brakes go for around $1000-$1500

well i was thinking around the 1000 mark.

a T series diff should be more than enough for the bigport.

 

though you broke a stocko diff, how did you break it? If you slam gears all day and clutch kick you are likely to break a T series as well. you have to be nice to these 25yr old differentials.

 

have a look around at the imports on ae86dc and such, they bring in T series disc brakes complete with some form of aftermarket LSD for around the 1000-1200 mark.

how did you break a borgy? I have a blacktop 20v in my car which would be more power than yours, with a button clutch and i drift it at least once a fortnight and i havent broken a diff.
