jimmy-d Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 to each his own opinion, just relaying what I had been expressly told by professional tyre fitter/wheel supplier when I had a similiar set up. Quote
mellowyellowke70 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Report Posted September 29, 2011 nah the photo needs to be rotated 90 degrees when u place the rim on it sags down onto the hub centre and studs etc the rims pictured are actually out of that new batch from toyparts industrie ( 15x8s ) on the front right of a 83 ke70. ..so I'm still a bit confused ,it makes sense though that the taper in the wheel nut will centralise the rim but as for copping the weight? is it necessary to get some of those rings to put load on the hub centre? the question is why do these rings exist if there is no load placed on the hub centre but what philbey has said makes sense , its seems to be the most logical answer....car is going to be set up for drift use so kinda wanna get this right , wheels coming off mid slide=having a shit one boss Quote
MulishesKE70 Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 you can get plastic spacers to fill in that gap Quote
camcam Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 go to sprints and ask for hub rings. its a little plastic ring that stind on the gub and pretty much makes it sit in the center. say hello to your ex tyre power pro :) camcam Quote
