jimmy-d Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 So,who reckons $770 is a good price for a ke70 slant nose with 132000 on the clock,no reg, auto, minimal rust above the drivers side tail light and bottom passenger side rear wheel well plus slight panel damage to rear drivers side quarter, all easily repairable as I have welder, spray equipment etc etc.Paint basically good, windscreen good. Kid-Ae Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 The one at the wreckers in Kilsyth? It looked real clean for a 70! Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) I would happly pay around $1300-1500 for a fairly neat registed ke70, do you think theres more than $730 of work in it to make it road worthy and to get registed again? Edited September 26, 2011 by Spencer Quote
altezzaclub Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Spencer is right- and if you bargain the price down you're on a winner. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Body wise it's an easy fix up. Issue is with buying it from the wrecking yard that you have no knowledge of what else it might need.. Brakes, suspension, engine work etc. Quote
Ben-89 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Pick a Part wont succumb to offers unfortunatley, not at the Campbellfield yard anyway. Still though give it a try and see, if they wont lower the price ask if they can allow you to get some free parts specifically for that car if you buy it. Just to make up the difference. Quote

Brakes, suspension, engine work etc. Â True, atleast at Kilsyth the car park is big enough to drive the car around in. Campbellfield you can only go back and forward and do the old handbrake all the up trick to try out the clutch. If I remember correctly though when dad bought my first car from pick a part which was ae82 he may have been able to grab a few things from the yard to include in the sale.. But with any older car they will need work regardless. Good to see they have the sence to put it for sale instead of just throwing in the yard like they normally do. Â Or buy Rollaboys ke55 :hmm: Quote
Kid-Ae Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Take the 55 off my hands for 450 cash right now if you want her. Comes with two sets of wheels, ill make it three by throwing in a set of FWD wheels from my old '92. Rust is easy to fix if you can weld, engine is pretty neat for an older car, interior is super clean. Really just needs brakes, rust done, good wash and a RWC :) Quote
jimmy-d Posted September 26, 2011 Author Report Posted September 26, 2011 yea mate, the one at Kilsyth!Like you say,at least you can drive it round the car park.Inside is A1,good seats, good dash,no cracks, good carpet but as you say, bound to be lots of other stuff to sort out but seemed a good price and a good start.. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Can buy a 55 in the area for a few hundred less with a permit ;) Quote
jimmy-d Posted September 27, 2011 Author Report Posted September 27, 2011 Will think on it! I'm not definite about a ke70 so may consider other options.Chuck a few pics up if you have any and I'll give it some thought.Where are you? Quote
