B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Did AE92's come with a brown interior? I'm thinking of using seats from one in my car but really want it to match my interior (or close enough). Quote
orangeLJ Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I don't think they did, AE82s did, but 92s are all grey/black/blueish from memory Quote
Jono.C Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 Seats are horrid anyway. Get some brown ra65 seats Quote
orangeLJ Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 I like my SX seca seats :) Honestly though, the most comfy, small cheap car seats I've ever had were in a 95 charade I had early on. They were a seudo bucket seat (so not masses of bolstering) but they were really nice to sit on/in Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Does anyone know the regs on mod plating roll cages in QLD or have a link or similar. Found a cusco bolt in half cage for really cheap. Pretty keen but only want one if I can get it legal As they are a police magnet. Edited November 2, 2012 by It's_AUDM_Yo Quote
Jono.C Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 Bloke down here just tinted his rear windows to hide it Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 haha. Wouldn't have such luck here. Quote

Seriously, how about we just skip the middle man and I bash you over the head with a piece of pipe? Same result as using a Cusco half cage. Talk to an engineer, that's the best way. It's all a bit up in the air ATM. NCOP is in the process of coming in, so things are a-changing as we speak. Edited November 2, 2012 by Redwarf Quote

All you can legally have in a passenger vehicle is bolt in half cages from now on. I've managed to get all the specs and stuff. So I guess i'll go measure it up. Redwarf Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Seriously, get one built. I've never seen a Cusco/ Japanese cage that I'd be happy with in a car I own. Therefore I wouldn't recommend one to anyone I know, either. :) Edited November 2, 2012 by Redwarf Quote
Jono.C Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 The cusco Ke70 cage's seem alright to me? Mind you i've never seen one post rollover or anything Quote
rian Posted November 2, 2012 Author Report Posted November 2, 2012 ^Pffft, what do you know about roll cages... Quote
Jono.C Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 ^Pffft, what do you know about roll cages... Fair point. But I've been around enough stuff to know when somethings half decent or not. They're certainly not what I'd call an eBay type deal. Few people run them in motorsport down here with no issues whatsoever. And for $250 compared to several thousand.. Quote
