Jono.C Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) Hey guys. So i want to change headlights for the up and coming ke10 and don't want to use sealed beams for obvious reasons. Now i've had a failry decent search for new ones and all i can seem to find are stupid frosted and diamond headlights which are fully crap. Wondering if anyones found anything that looks like the original lights (lines in the lenses etc) either new or out of another car.. Any help will merit you one free internet Edited September 14, 2011 by Jono.C Quote
Des Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) I went to the wreckers and found 2 sets of lucas sealed beams. Best looking original lights. I havent seen any non sealed beams that look right in old cars yet. Edited September 14, 2011 by AE70 Quote
ke70dave Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 how big are ke10 round headlights? when i was playing with quad round headlights on the ke70 (about 6" diameter), i got some semi sealed lights out of an old honda accord? i think. i just walked around the wreckers looking for round headlights and checking if they were semi sealed or not, i actually found quite a few, i just picked the ones that looked the best. if the ke10 headlights are bigger than 6", maybe some old 4wd will have big round semi sealed headlights? Des Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Ive got the same size round lights in my pajero which are semi sealed but they have a flat lens and would look odd in a ke10/11 Quote
Jono.C Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 Ke10 are 7" i believe, like a lot of cars around that time.. I'm thinking i'll have to take a trip 60k's south to have a look wreckers down there and just see if i can find anything.. Quote
philbey Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 You should be able to find semi-sealed beams in various sizes at Supercheap and so on. Usually they're in boxes that look to be about 25 years old and dusty, but they'll look close enough to factory sealed beams to use. I bought a 4 inch one for my bike project, chopped it up and mounted it in a vintage tractor light casing. Modern high/low lighting in an old school case.... Quote
parrot Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Cibie make a 7 inch convex lens in a semi sealed. Quote

phil86 Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 I got 7" semi sealed off ebay then bought some h4 globes in bright white, doesn't sound like what you're after but maybe try to find a different coloured h4? Quote
