Smithius Posted December 21, 2012 Author Report Posted December 21, 2012 Cheers, I love the nardi, it had a black leather one in the car when I first got it but the leather is stuffed. Hope to have the front bar, bonnet chrome and windscreen wipers back on today and that will be the exterior done. Quote

Evan G Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 have you chop the struts down to suit the sw20 shocks? Quote
Smithius Posted December 26, 2012 Author Report Posted December 26, 2012 Nah, going to run an aluminum spacers underneath, should be low enough Quote

mark1414 Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 How hard where the s15 seats to fit? Thinking of sourcing a set for my ke55. Quote
glenpos Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 wow this thing is sick, nice work mate :y: Quote
Smithius Posted December 26, 2012 Author Report Posted December 26, 2012 Evan, the gland nuts that came with my kyb sw20 shocks are correct for my struts, everyone told me that I needed r31's as well but these are correct, I don't know if the rt132 struts have a different thread to the xt130, but I doubt it, everything else is the same. All you need is a peice of round aluminum 45mm long and it should go together. Â Mark, the s15 seats aren't that hard to fit if you have access to a decent range of steel, a welder and plenty of time, they mount to the side of the seat on the trans tunnel side of the seat and to the bottom on the other side, none of the holes line up across the seat so you need to pick a datum point and measure from there, I basically have a complete frame welded under the seats made from 6mm stainless steel then the corolla rails bolt to that. If you have a sedan I would recommend s4/5 rx7 seats, the only require one hole drilled in each of the corolla rails, them they bolt in, they sit too high in the coupe for me. I wish I took a photo of the mount I made. . Quote
Smithius Posted December 27, 2012 Author Report Posted December 27, 2012 Bit more progress, put in the kyb shocks in the rear and finished welding up the intercooler pipes Quote
Smithius Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Finished rebuilding the calipers today, just waiting on new brake lines and the coilovers can go in. Quote
