oh what a nissan feeling! Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Its actually not as bad as it looks initially, seems to be no roof or pillar rust, nothing around the screens, over the rear wheels looks ok too. you do have a lot of work ahead, keep the updates coming! :y: Quote
Redwarf Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) Lovely. Have been to the UK many times, and have only ever seen one 20 series while I've been there. A decent wash and I think you be pleasantly surprised. Parts are getting thin in Australia (which is where the vast majority of us are from...) particularly for 25's. You should be able to get better guards than what you have fairly easily, but the doors are going to be an issue, as they're different from KE20, and rare. See if you can fix the boot, too, as they're a bit thin on the ground too. Those bumbers are incredibly straight for a car that age. :) Edited September 6, 2011 by Redwarf Quote
philbey Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Fantastic looking project here! Tell us more about the car, did you go looking for it to restore, or did you just happen to stumble across it? Welcome to the rollaclub, look forward to seeing more updates. Quote
parrot Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 Yes welcome! Always great to see a new 25 on here, and an enthusiastic owner. Panels are hard to come by even here, especially a decent boot lid. They are available in fiberglass now from japan but fairly pricey. I'll PM you a contact in the UK who may be able to help with part sourcing, otherwise, join the ebay roundabout. I suspect few people bother checking UK ebay for KE2x stuff, so you may strike it lucky........if you are prepared to wait. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 I have read on here that you can use the ke20 doors, but you need to weld the glass hoop from the 25 onto them. Would be worth doing a seach to confirm this, as that would make finding doors much easier. :y: Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 Can confirm that! Tally has done the same for his KE25 Quote
