rollas-r-us Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Hey, was driving up the expressway today and heard a decent size bang! noticed the temp gauge increasing a little so i pulled over and found more coolant in the engine bay than the radiator, Thought at first it was a head gasket but then the raa spotted a hole on the back of the head (engine bay side)... Is the usually welsh plugs there, or have i just destroyed my head? Thanks, Tom Quote
Evan G Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 if its a 3k big port (the only head with a welsh plug on the back of it) get the head off and get it welded up ftw!!!! Quote
basher_ke20 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 if you spent all that money on the engine its possible they replaced it and didnt put it in properly. check your reciepts Quote
philbey Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 The worst thing is that replacing the welsh plug means you'll need to pull the head off. While it's off, get it welded up. 1 Quote
jono1986 Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 Same thing happen to me man, got the head rebuilt somewhere and it blew out thankfully only when I first got it running. If you don't want to get it welded up there's a guy in Adelaide that sells the one you need, I think I put him in the Recommended list. Quote
