Spencer[RL] Posted August 31, 2011 Author Report Posted August 31, 2011 That's actually not so bad, Around $1400 for the 9jj postage would be $300-$400 just a guess, but still out of budget for some of us. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 When the wheels are 4x the price of the original purchase price of the car they are too expensive. Quote

I'm pretty sure that's the price per wheel, and if so, I'd say that's out of the budget of 99.999% of us. You could almost get 2 sets of Rotas for the price of 1 Hayashi wheel... I wish Rota would hurry up and start making an original wheel in good sizes. Edited August 31, 2011 by rianwest Quote

Crowie55 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 If that's each Crowie must be crack dealer I only deal in women Spencer :pimp: geez at $1400 I was assuming they were per set. If they are charging $5600 per set + post then I 120% endorse the purchase of said copy rims. Quote
7shades Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 They're all shitty old Datsun rims to me :) The amount of money that changes hands for (genuine) old wheels is just batshit stupid. 1 Quote

Spencer[RL] Posted August 31, 2011 Author Report Posted August 31, 2011 Ahhh stop confusing me! Quote
HJ60 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I would pick neither. I got a Quote for Genuine Hayashi Streets brand new, inc Centre Caps and it was <2k (will find the exact price) to my door in 14 x 8 and 14 x 9 in type ST, this was less than 3 months ago. I can understand if you are on a budget - If the above is out of your price range, then so be it.. I would pick the Knockoff Hayashi's. Have you had a look on Otomoto's Website ? or done any searching on Yahoo as to what used wheels you can find ? Also.. Worth Watching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUsLOJmWXNo Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted August 31, 2011 Author Report Posted August 31, 2011 f@$k it , I'm just going to buy hub caps. Quote
19914afc Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 Don't buy the rotas if you want to fit in with the JDM crowd, haha. Maybe spend a little bit more and get some nice 14" SSR's or something, I got my set of MK2's 13x8 NEG 13 offset for about just under 1k delivered. Quote
abbott Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 this isn't a discussion about whether he should buy genuines or not. he can afford what he can afford and agree with 7shades prices are just silly for secondhands and it's a street car not a show car. as for wheels I'd love to see both photoshopped onto your car cause I think the aleicas could work if you had a look at a few different colours. I'd love to see a dark blue centre as I personally haven't seen that before! but hayashis are classic beautiful wheels. just my useless opinion! either way will look a million bucks! Quote
